Gears of War Vault - Production 3D Modeling
This was one of the most complex and rewarding projects I’ve worked on. Collaborating with Genesis Concept and Design Studio, I was responsible for the 3D modeling of the organic skull and gear components used in the production of this limited-edition Xbox housing.
The process began with an artistic 3D model and a series of concept illustrations, which required extensive remodeling to meet production standards. I performed a full retopology of the base mesh, reworked nearly 80% of the geometry, and refined wall thicknesses and small details to preserve the expressive intent of the design while ensuring technical feasibility.
The final model was delivered as a SolidWorks part, fully prepared for assembly with the product’s other components.
Software used: ZBrush, SolidWorks, Rhino with T-Splines, and Modo.
